ABOUT
The North Coast Fly Fishers (NCFF) is a charter club of the FFI. Its purpose is to promote fly fishing as the most enjoyable and sporting method of fishing.
NCFF is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation, established as an affiliate of the FFI, an international fly fishing organization. It is organized exclusively to educate its members and the public on the art and science of fly fishing for all species of fish within all types of waters; to conserve the natural habitat, and thereby facilitate the continued existence of all types of fish; and finally, to bring enjoyment to anyone involved in fly fishing and the natural habitat of fish everywhere.

CLUB PROGRAM SCHEDULE
2020
January 8th - Fishing the BWCAW, our own Larry Elswick
February 5th - Ohio Fishery - Carey Knight, Biologist for the ODNR, Fairport Fishery Station. Carey will update us on what is going on with the fishery within Ohio and the stocking activity, especially the Steelhead!
March 4th - Montana Fly Fishing - our own Jim Gavacs, Jim will provide a re-cap of his trip last year Montana and his experiences fly fishing there.
April 1st - Open House and Fly Tying Marathon - An open house for individuals interested in joining our club and tying flies that will be donated to a select group/organization (organization is TBD)
May 6th - Orvis Fly Fishing Film Tour "Down the Hatch" - This is Orvis's version of the annual "Fly Fishing Festival" that tours nationally, usually hosted by the the Cleveland History Museum. You'll find some comedy and good laughs in this film, but only second to information on great fishing for several species in beautiful locations around the world.
June 3rd - Club Annual Picnic - this year we are back to Veteran's Park in Mentor on the Lake, or Chagrin River Park where we were last year. Stay tuned once we confirm exact location. We will have a year end raffle for club members and enjoy some good food (potluck style). Always a great way to end the year!
The club meets the first Wednesday of every month between September and June, usually at the Environmental Learning Center in Lake County MetroParks.
Fly tying for beginners is offered at every meeting, along with a featured program presented by a noted person within areas of interest. Other meeting topics include education, such as fly fishing for multiple species of fish on the fly, tying deer hair bas bugs, fishing our local waters, destination adventures, etc. Other learning activities include fly casting, knot tying, reading the waters and how to fish for various species of fish.
